Björn Berg Gunnarsson is an independent financial adviser and public speaker based in Reykjavík, Iceland. He is one of Iceland’s best-known voices on personal finance, pensions and household economics.

Björn has worked in finance since 2007, including 16 years at Íslandsbanki, where he served as Head of Financial Education and Director of Economic Research. Today, he runs BB ráðgjöf, his own independent advisory and education practice, where he works with individuals, companies, unions, public institutions and organisations across Iceland.

His work focuses on making money easier to understand. Through lectures, courses, advisory sessions, articles and media commentary, Björn explains topics such as mortgages, pensions, saving, investing, debt and the Icelandic economy in clear, practical language.

He is a regular financial commentator in Icelandic media and is the author of Peningar (2021), a book about the entertaining and curious sides of money.

For international audiences, Björn offers a practical introduction to money and everyday financial life and talks on various topics such as debt reduction, saving and investing.
